The design of the camera, highly technological, integrates on the left side of the same 3D 16:9 touch screen display of 2.8 inches with a resolution of 96,000 pixels. The size of the device, equal to 12.0 x6.2×5.4 cm and a weight of 286 grams, it can be used almost anywhere, even if the weight is not actually very light.
Toshiba Camileo Z100: Features and Functionality
The Toshiba Camileo Z100 is a Full HD 3D camcorder with a maximum resolution of 1920×1080 pixels at a frame rate of 30 fps during which you can also use the digital zoom to 10x (2D mode) and 4x (in 3D mode).
The user can view the images taken directly on the excellent touch screen 3D display that does not require special 3D glasses, a feature that obviously makes it extremely pleasant and very practical to observe the images directly to this 2.8-inch display with a resolution of 96,000 pixels.
The use of 2D and 3D features are easily selected through the presence of an appropriate button through which you can easily switch from one mode to another. The filming of the video camera are made possible by the presence of 2 CMOS sensors with 5 MP BSI technology the type 1/3.2 “which also make it possible to produce pictures with a maximum resolution of 16 MP.
The camera is also equipped with excellent connectivity, thanks for the presence of a door miniHDMI and a mini-USB 2.0 port miniHDMI due to the fact you can see the images shot directly on a compatible TV. Very interesting are as well certain features that allow an unconventional use with the camera, such as the ability to use it as a webcam, the function of face detection, slow motion (good for the construction of sports videos that you want to see the detail) the function of tracing the face and smile detection (unfortunately only in 2D mode).
The Toshiba Camileo Z100 is also equipped with 4 functions of automatic white balance: auto, daylight, fluorescent and tungsten, in addition to the delay times for the realization of self-portraits (approximately 10 seconds). In addition to an excellent sales package which also mentions the presence of an HDMI cable, the camcorder has some small flaws, among which we find a limited internal memory (about 128 MB of flash memory) which of course can be easily increased through cards SD / SDHC / SDXC up to 128GB, and another small defect can be found within the battery life of approximately 70 minutes, when the 3D display is kept on.
Conclusion
The Toshiba Camileo Z100 is an excellent Full HD 3D camcorder capable of shooting both 3D and 2D magnificent thanks to the presence of a dual 5 megapixel BSI CMOS sensor and features excellent. Even at the level of connectivity cannot be disappointed, thanks for the presence of a mini-USB, 2.0 port and a port miniHDMI.
Obviously, if the camera had been also equipped with a built-in WiFi device level would have risen considerably, but you cannot have everything. The only flaw, in my opinion, really relevant is seen as the life of the battery (about 70 minutes) when the 3D display is kept on.
