The Samsung Galaxy Watch is the current top-of-the-line range of smartwatches from Samsung. Presented in August 2018, it is available in two versions, 42 mm and 46 mm respectively, in different colors. In particular, the two models feature a 1.3″ super AMOLED display with 360 × 360 resolution and a Tizen OS operating system, supported by an Exynos 9110 Dual-Core 1.15GHz chipset.

In both variants, we will have an internal memory of 4GB and 1.5GB RAM for the 42mm version and 768MB for the 46mm version. The LTE version is also available for the 42 mm version.

In particular, thanks to the Bluetooth or wi-fi connection, with Samsung Galaxy Watch, we will be able to manage all the notifications and calls of our smartphone, also having the possibility to answer directly from the smartwatch thanks to the presence of an integrated microphone.

The GPS allows us to manage numerous sports activities, monitoring in detail all the data from the Samsung Health app.

We will view the weather, monitor sleep, measure stress and heart rate thanks to the sensor on the bottom of the clock. Furthermore, thanks to the NFC module, we will have the possibility to manage contactless payments thanks to the dedicated application of Samsung Pay.

It is water-resistant to up to 5 ATMs. Last but not least is the design of this watch, really sought after and studied in detail.

Amazfit Stratos

The Amazfit Stratos is one of the best models in the circulation of Amazfit, a brand belonging to the most famous Xiaomi. This smartwatch weighs only 60 grams and has a 1.2 GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, and a 1.3″ LCD screen. In addition, it is water-resistant to up to 5 ATM and supports the GPS module and Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity.

With Amazfit Stratos, we will easily manage the notifications on the smartphone and monitor physical activities, heart rate, and sleep thanks to the dedicated app. In addition, its autonomy of about 5 days will take away the worry of having to load our device every day.

Ticwatch Pro

The Ticwatch Pro is at the top of the range of the Ticwatch series, produced by Mobvoi, a Chinese company that has often made its name in this sector in recent years. This model has a Wear OS by Google operating system supported by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 2100 processor with 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of storage space.

It is the first Android smartwatch to have two superimposed displays: a 1.39″ OLED panel with 400 × 400 resolution and a second LCD panel, which will be really useful for the general autonomy of the smartwatch and use in clock stand-by, recalling the normal traditional wristwatches.

It is waterproof with IP68 certification and has a 415 mAh battery that will allow us to use it for about 48 hours, obviously based on our typical daily uses, in addition to the GPS module, which will allow us to monitor our physical activities, the accelerometers, the gyroscope, the 24-hour active heart rate sensor and the NFC module for contactless payments through the Google Pay platform.

Amazfit Verge

In my opinion, the Amazfit Verge is the top in the middle range of the Amazfit Smartwatch line, and it stands right in the middle between the Amazfit Bip and the Stratos 2.

The design is very nice to look at, and its 1.3″ display AMOLED, supported by an Amazfit OS operating system and a 1.2 GHz dual-core processor with 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of internal storage, will allow us to manage notifications of our smartphone and all the physical activities undertaken (IP68 certified).

The GPS, the accelerometer, and the gyroscope are present, but unfortunately, they lack the NFC and the light sensor, negligible certainly seen the price of this product. On the other hand, the smartwatch is IP68 certified, water-resistant up to 5 ATM and the 415 mAh battery offers us a real use of about 2 days.

As mentioned above, this model is designed for sports. However, you can generally monitor running, walking, or cardio, and it is particularly accurate with GPS and heart rate measurement.
